The International Trade Center (ITC) recently conducted a briefing session to introduce participants to its suite of online tools designed to support informed and sustainable trade decision-making.
Developed as global public goods, the ITC’s Market Analysis Tools, Standards Map, and SME Sustainability Toolkit provide policymakers, trade support institutions, and businesses worldwide with access to trade intelligence, market access information, and sustainability resources.
During the session, ITC demonstrated how to use these resources to identify market opportunities, understand market access conditions and sustainability requirements, and strengthen support services for MSMEs.
Participants learned how the Market Analysis Tools, in particular, could be used to assess trade performance and identify promising products and markets.
Participants were also briefed how Standard Map helps users navigate and compare sustainability standards across markets and value chains.
Lastly, the ITC cited SME Sustainability Toolkit as a provider of practical resources to help businesses assess and improve their sustainability performance.
These tools are seen to be highly relevant to exporters as they provide accessible, practical information that can support market research, identify potential export markets and products, assess market access requirements, and understand sustainability standards increasingly required in global value chains.
With access to all this information, exporters can make more informed decisions, improve their competitiveness, and better prepare for global market requirements.
