Representatives from the Embassy of Japan recently attended the Inaugural Session of the First Regular Parliament of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) in Cotabato City.
In a press release, the embassy noted the Government of Japan has consistently supported the peace process and development in Mindanao for 30 years, including through electoral assistance.
Japan, as a Comprehensive Strategic Partner of the Philippines, will continue to work hand in hand with the Philippines, the Bangsamoro government, and other stakeholders towards the realization of a just and sustainable peace in Mindanao, according to the embassy.
