The ASEFClassNet Team (composed of Ms. Reka Tozsa, Ms. Angie TOH, and Ms. Jyoti Rahaman) is excited to welcome over 90 expected attendees from over 30 Asian and European countries in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
HE Ambassador Toru Morikawa (Executive Director, Asia-Europe Foundation), together with Mr. Boštjan Koritnik (Deputy Mayor of City of Ljubljana, Slovenia), Ms. Maja Balant Slobodjanac (ASEF Governor for Slovenia), Professor John Shawe-Taylor (UNESCO Chair for AI and IRCAI Director), and Dr. Mitja Jermol (UNESCO Chair on Open Technologies for Open Educational Resources and Open Learning based at JSI and IRCAI) will kick-off the conference by welcoming participants on Sunday, 12 November 2023 at the historic City Hall of Ljubljana.
The ASEFClassNet16 Conference, themed “Leading Change: Digital Transformation of Education in the Era of AI” is a four-day long conference from 12-16 November 2023, and aims to empower participants with critical knowledge and understanding on AI-driven teaching transformation across Asia and Europe.
ASEF is organising the conference in partnership with the International Research Centre on Artificial Intelligence (IRCAI) under the auspices of UNESCO at Jožef Stefan Institute (JSI) in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The key local supporters of the conference are the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, City of Ljubljana and the Ljubljana Tourism.
During the conference, participants will embark on exciting activities that include workshops, keynotes, roundtables and designing Innovative Teaching practices with their peers.
This is a unique conference that brings together both the teacher and teacher trainers in one platform to meaningfully engage in timely relevant conversations, as well as build hands on capacity to take education innovation in their institutions to the next level.
