Senate President Francis “Chiz” G. Escudero recently received the South African Ambassador to the Philippines Bartinah Ntombizodwa Radebe-Netshitenzhe at the Senate Ceremonial Hall.
Celebrating 31 years of diplomatic relations this year, the discussions centered on the promotion of a vibrant tourism sector for their respective countries.
Both officials also expressed their views on the political structure of their countries, with South Africa recently holding their general elections last May.
The Ambassador shared her efforts to promote greater exchanges between the parliaments of both countries, as the Senate President expressed his interest as well in advancing greater parliamentary cooperation and the sharing of best practices.
