Japanese Ambassador Endo Kazuya and his wife Endo Akiko recently attended the Stella Dance Jam, organized by the Japan Foundation Manila (JFM) at the Theater at Solaire, Parañaque City, in celebration of its 30th anniversary.
The event was also attended by Japan Foundation President Kurosawa Shinya, JFM Director Suzuki Ben, Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Dita Angara-Mathay, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Undersecretary Maria Theresa Dizon-De Vega, and National Commission on Culture and the Arts Chairman Eric Zerrudo.

In his remarks, Ambassador Endo cited JFM’s “tireless efforts for being a vital bridge between Japan and the Philippines through various cultural and people-to-people exchange initiatives.”
For his part, Kurosawa recognized all the partners that have supported Japan Foundation’s cultural activities and initiatives since opening its Manila office in 1996. He also stressed the Foundation’s mission to continue bringing Japan and the Philippines closer together remains unchanged.
The Stella Dance Jam featured performances by RIEHATA, a globally-acclaimed dancer and choreographer with roots in both Japan and the Philippines, and SB19, one of the Philippines’ leading pop groups. They were joined by the RHT Family, a group produced by RIEHATA, and the young emerging dancers, selected through auditions held in Japan and the Philippines.
This event was also part of the celebrations commemorating the 70th Anniversary of Philippines-Japan Friendship.
