Philippines’ Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Alfredo Pascual met Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) Vice Minister for International Affairs Hirai Hirohide on April 19, 2023. Â
The meeting focused on discussions involving initiatives on strengthening the Philippines-Japan bilateral cooperation, especially in areas of industrial development and competitiveness.
It was a follow through meeting in advancing collaboration with METI and Japanese companies, particularly in the fields of electric vehicle (EV), aerospace, electronics, game development, and animation.
