The Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) will host the ASEAN-Chinese Business Leaders Summit from October 18–20 in Manila.
The summit is seen to leverage the Philippines’ 2026 ASEAN Chairmanship to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) and boost tourism.
Building on the inaugural summit held in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia in 2025—which gathered 600 delegates from across Asia and saw Thailand’s Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group) Senior Chairman Dhanin Chearavanont conferred the ASEAN Honorable Business Icon Award—the Manila event aims to position the private sector as a bridge between Southeast Asia and global markets.
“This is a golden opportunity to showcase the best of the Philippines,” FFCCCII President Victor Lim said.
“As we mark the fifth anniversary of the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and harness the RCEP, our message is clear: The Philippines is open for business and ready to welcome the world,” he added.
The summit will focus on driving FDI, expanding two-way trade, and integrating MSMEs into regional value chains. It also serves as a strategic platform to promote tourism, encouraging delegates to experience the country’s culture and destinations as potential investors and returning visitors.
Describing every delegate as a potential tourist and a potential investor, Lim urged all sectors to “unite in extending the highest level of hospitality. This is our moment for the country to shine.”
