Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Alfredo Pascual, together with the other members of the Philippine delegation, visited the Schneider Electric Industries SAS Company on June 19, 2023 at the sidelines of the Philippines-France Joint Economic Committee (PH-FR JEC) meeting, which coincides with the three-week European Investment Roadshow.
Schneider Electric is leading the digital transformation of energy management and automation in homes, buildings, data centers, infrastructure, and industries. Their purpose is to empower all by making the most of energy and resources, bridging progress and sustainability for all.
The Philippine delegation was given an exclusive tour of Schneider’s state-of-the-art innovation hub that features high-tech energy management solutions.
During the visit, Secretary Pascual highlighted the Philippines’ science, technology, and innovation (STI)-driven industrialization strategy, which also covers the promotion of clean energy technology, innovation, and sustainable development.
He also shared that the DTI is building an Industry 4.0 Pilot Factory, which will host demonstrations and case applications for local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), large enterprises, and the academe.
Further, Secretary Pascual encouraged the executives of Schneider Electric to take advantage of the game-changing economic reforms in the country that will provide fiscal incentives for the company.
