The Government of the Philippines and JICA will be signing a grant agreement that will fund the Human Resource Development Scholarship under the Japanese Grant Aid (JDS), which aims to support human resource development in the Philippines by providing masters courses to highly capable young officials who will be involved in implementing social and economic development plans in the future.
Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Ernesto M. Pernia, Undersecretary for Investment Planning
Rolando G. Tungpalan and
Chief Representative, Japan International Cooperation (JICA) Philippines Susumo Ito are expected to lead the signing of the agreement.
