French Ambassador Thierry Mathou ended his two-year tour of duty in the Philippines on July 28, 2017.
He immediately left for Paris on the same day of his exit to become Director for Asia and Oceania at France’s Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
He however hopes to come back to the country soon in his new capacity.
The French Embassy noted how Ambassador Mathou was thankful to the Filipino community, with special mention of the media, for the support, warmth and enthusiasm shown him during his stay.
The French chief diplomat to the country left a message of gratitude at the embassy’s facebook site.
