The United States Embassy in the Philippines recently released photos of U.S. humanitarian activities—helping families and communities in Maguindanao del Sur and Special Geographic Areas of BARMM (Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao) who were affected by the floods due to continuous rains this month.
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) through the Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Philippines provided 700 emergency shelters in these areas in coordination with the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) and their local counterparts.
