The 2017 J-pop Anime Singing Contest Top 15 finalists revealed!
The Japan Information and Culture Center (JICC) of the Embassy of Japan is excited to announce the top 15 finalists to the 2017 J-pop Anime Singing Contest: Ana Alforte, kuri~n, Arianne Jeselle Zagala, Cha-cha Cañete, Christian Lopez, Dash, eClipse, Johannie Velasco, John Paul Manuel, Ruu Kurosawa, Mark and Jena, Risu, Nicx, Vinar Takumi, and YURI.
Last year’s top three winners. The top two winners won an all- expense paid trip to Tokyo, Japan as well as gadgets and goodies from our sponsors.
Come and watch them perform at the Grand Finals to be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 1 to 5 pm, in Skydome, SM City North EDSA. Winners of the contest will receive exciting prizes from our sponsors, including an all-expense paid trip to Japan as the grand prize courtesy of All Nippon Airways and Universal Holidays, Inc.
Embassy of Japan’s No Plan Band
There will also be a special performance from Embassy of Japan’s very own No Plan Band. Contest proper starts at 1 pm, but members of the public may already check out and join in fun activities onsite — including Bandai’s Gunpla Caravan, wherein guests may try their hands on building their own plastic Gunpla, as early as 11:30 am.

The 2017 J-pop Anime Singing Contest is organized in celebration of the Philippines-Japan Friendship Month this July by the Embassy of Japan together with The Japan Foundation, Manila (JFM), and in cooperation with All Nippon Airways, Ajinomoto Philippines, Bandai Namco Philippines Inc., Bobson, Canon Information Technologies, Inc., Canon Marketing Philippines, Center for Pop Music Philippines, HERO TV, Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Philippines, Inc., Lotte Confectionery Pilipinas Corporation, Lyceum of the Philippines, Nihongo Center Foundation, Panasonic Philippines Corporation, Sony Philippines, Skydome, SM North EDSA, Toei Animation Philippines, Inc., Universal Holidays, Inc., Yakult Philippines, and Yoshinoya.
