Senator Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada welcomed the new Canadian Ambassador to the Philippines David Bruce Hartman when the envoy paid a courtesy call on the veteran lawmaker at the Senate on May 31, 2023. Hartman told Estrada, who is also the Senate Committee on National Defense and Security Chairperson, Canada is looking at enhanced cooperation in areas of mutual concern including defense, climate change, food security, energy, infrastructure, and migration.Â
