President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Alfredo Pascual, and other Philippine key officials participated in the roundtable meeting between ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) Indonesia and the ASEAN-BAC Philippines held at the sidelines of the 43rd ASEAN Summit on September 5, 2023 in Jakarta.
The roundtable facilitated the discussion on areas of mutual interest, particularly agricultural technology, the development of nanopreneurship, and research and development, among others.
President Marcos Jr. and Secretary Pascual also witnessed the Ceremonial Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Partnership in Agriculture and MSME Development between the ASEAN-BAC Philippines and the Council’s Chapters in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam.
The agreements are spearheaded by the ASEAN BAC Philippines through the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship’s Kapatid Angat Lahat Agri Program (KALAP) to foster the transformation of major agricultural commodities and industries following inclusive business models and a conducive business environment in the Philippines.
