The Philippines explored collaborations recently with Autodesk for the implementation of the country’s Industry 4.0 Pilot Factory (I4PF), in line with the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) initiative to foster innovation and global competitiveness in the local industry.
The Industry 4.0 pilot factory is envisioned to integrate cutting-edge technologies such as robotics, internet of things, drones, virtual and augmented reality, and more. In pursuit of this vision, the DTI is forging alliances with technology companies to bring in advanced manufacturing equipment into the country.
Autodesk, a pioneer in software for product design and manufacturing, plays a crucial role in this endeavor, collaborating to achieve exceptional outcomes for product designers and engineers.
