Senator Robinhood “Robin” C. Padilla visited the Czech Republic Senate and met with senator-doctors on July 10 to discuss the visited country’s medical cannabis model including its regulatory laws.
The discussion also included the banning of synthetic cannabis derivatives that are bad for health, and the future of cannabis regulation in the Czech Republic.
On another note, Senator Padilla lauded Philippine Ambassador to Czech Republic Eduardo Martin Meñez for securing, in principle, partnerships with two Czech universities for programs and trainings for Filipinos.
Among those at the meeting were Senator Roman Kraus, Chairman of the Committee on Health; Senator Lumir Kantor, Vice-Chairman of the Committee; Senator Vera Prochazkova, Member of the Committee; and Silvie Mejdrechova, Secretary of the Committee.
Padilla also extended an invitation for the Czech counterparts to visit the Philippines after Senator Prochazkova asked about the use of acupuncture as an alternative form of treatment in the Philippines.
