Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines Endo Kazuya attended the 7th Philippine National Kendo Tournament (PNKT) held recently at GameVille Ball Park in Mandaluyong City.
The event was also attended by United Kendo Federation of the Philippines (UKFP) President Kristopher Inting, Malaysia Kendo Association President Christopher Wong, and Indonesia Kendo Association President Marcel Oesman.

In his remarks, Ambassador Endo lauded the UKFP for hosting the tournament. He also offered words of encouragement to the competing Kendokas, commending their grit and determination in not only mastering this traditional Japanese martial art, but in upholding values like discipline, respect, and dignity that make Kendo universal.
The two-day 2025 PNKT brought together over 200 Kendo practitioners, judges, referees, teachers, and enthusiasts from all over the world to celebrate Kendo’s growing popularity in the Philippines and across the globe.
