The Embassy of Israel in Manila recently launched the “ISHAir Your Hair,” a hair donation drive that coincides with the Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Based on the Hebrew word “isha” that means “woman,” ISHAir Your Hair reaffirms Israel’s commitment to holistic care for every Filipina. It also celebrates the 3Hs (Hope, Healing, and Hair) and the 3Cs (Compassion, Care, and Confidence) of empowering women battling cancer with renewed dignity.

Led by Israeli Ambassador Dana Kursh, alongside Deputy Ambassador Ester Buzgan, in collaboration with Rizal Medical Center Chief II Dr. Maria Rica, Makati Medical Center Foundation Director Mary Margaret Barro, including Emphasis Salon, this initiative is part of the ISHA Project aimed at saving lives through early cancer detection and treatment, and helping women cope through wigs.
It also seen to reflect the ongoing collaboration between Israel and the Philippines in advancing healthcare innovation, from sharing best practices in women’s wellness to supporting community-based programs that empower patients and medical professionals alike.

Anyone who wishes to take part in this initiative may have their 12 inches of uncolored hair cut and bring it to Rizal Medical Center.
