The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) recently spotlighted the Philippines’ creative economy in the second run of International Culture, Tourism, and Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition (ICTICHE) in Hong Kong.
The Philippine Trade and Investment Center – Hong Kong (PTIC-HK), under the leadership of Vice Consul (Commercial) and Commercial Attaché Atty. Roberto B. Mabalot Jr., organized the Philippine delegation and exhibition that featured artworks, accessories, apparel, and various products from over 35 Filipino artists and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
The PTIC-HK is dedicated to forging strategic partnerships and connections with key players in the global creative industry sector through active involvement in cultural events.
The Philippine ICTICHE participation, also supported by the DTI-Cordillera Administrative Region (DTI-CAR), the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong (PCGHK), and Pasa-Kalye Creatives, was aimed to showcase the country’s creative industry and business opportunities in the creative sector. This is in line with the government’s pursuit to position the Philippines as a leading source for creative goods and services in the region and globally.
